Te amo, Tulum

Here are lots of pics and a little advice for you while this place is fresh in my memory. I've never been more heartbroken to return to "real life." Maybe some day, I will move to Tulum like all the Europeans (Italians, especially) and lead a hippie lifestyle. Fresh fruit cocktails, avocado everything, warm people, cool water - for the rest of my existence. Doesn't sound half bad.

If you visit Tulum, do: Stay at Hotel Tiki Tiki (it's in town, but a short car or bike ride to the beach), hang at Papaya Playa Project's beach club, take a bilingual yoga class at Sanara, grab coffee at Tulum Art Club, have juice and burritos at Burrito Amor, visit the ruins before the crowds rush in, take a dip (or a jump) in a cenote, drink a mezcal cocktail at Gitano, wear pounds of sunscreen during the day and bug spray at night, befriend the local dogs and kitties, eat Italian or Spanish food when you want a break from Mexican.

I'll be back with more things to do, but until then, hoping these images transport you to my newest happy place. xo
